On March 14, 2019, TAGHeuer announced that it has extended its three-year partnership with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Team as the official timekeeper and official watch. From the driver to the pit staff to the general audience, TAGHeuer’s timepiece products and overall performance cannot be ignored. The cooperation between the two parties began in 2015, when Red Bull had a dispute with engine supplier Renault, TAGHeuer seized the opportunity to help the team by investing in new engines.
Since the establishment of the F1 Championship in 1950, TAGHeuer has maintained a close relationship with its holders, providing precision mechanical timepieces to multiple teams for measuring time to 1 / 10th of a second. The brand connects and supports the greatest teams, drivers and the most legendary circuits. From 1971 to 1979, TAGHeuer served as the official timekeeper of the Ferrari team, and legendary driver Elton Senna was also selected as the first propaganda ambassador ‘without fear of stress’.
A few days before the season opened, TAGHeuer’s Melbourne boutique welcomed Pierre Gasley, the latest member of the Aston Martin Red Bull team. He commented on his visit like this: ‘This is a wonderful afternoon. In the world of racing, TAGHeuer is a well-known brand. It is great to be able to learn more about the history of the brand and appreciate the watches up close. I’m very excited about this season and can’t wait to start the journey in Melbourne. ‘
On the same day, Pierre Geisley wore a Carrera Heuer01, a modern sports watch inspired by motorsport. The watch is 45 mm in diameter, with a black skeleton dial, rhodium-plated fluorescent hour markers, a self-winding Heuer01 self-winding movement, and a well-made and comfortable rubber strap to perfectly show the overall appearance.
